Scenic Drives

Throughout the Bellingham Mt. Baker region offersmany scenic routes made for a leisurely drive or bike ride. Country back roads winding by Christmas tree farms and raspberry fields. Coastal lanes with views of the water and islands. Wooded highways that take your breath away. Grab a map and get out there!

Below are our two State Designated Scenic By Ways:

Mt Baker Highway (State Route 542) Located just off I-5, this 58 mile drive is one of the most scenic in Washington state.

Chuckanut Drive (State Route 11)
This route is about 20 miles long and hugs the Chuckanut Mountain range and coastal waterways looking over the San Juan Islands.

If you are looking for fresh produce, take a drive into the country to the many seasonal farms and operations offering locally grown products. Details on local farms and a map are available by clicking here.

Stop by our Visitor Information Center for maps on these routes and for more scenic drives ideas. Take I-5 Exit 253 and follow the signs to 904 Potter Street.
