Chuckanut & Cloudburst Tap Nut Burst Collaboration

Chuckanut Brewery and Cloudburst Brewing, from Seattle, are good brewing friends, with lots of respect for each other’s expertise in the brewing field. ‘Nut Burst’ is a collaboration lager made at Chuckanut Brewery that’s got a creamy white head and tropical fruit notes with an ABV of 6%. This delicious hoppy southern hemisphere lager will be tapped at both Chuckanut facilities (Bellingham and Skagit Valley) and Cloudburst in Seattle on Mother’s Day May 14. Nut Burst uses hops from New Zealand and Australia including Galaxy, Kohatu, Motueka, Nelson Sauvin, and Rakau. A marriage of Chuckanut’s clean, crisp lager with Cloudburst hop expertise culminates in ‘Nut Burst’. A very drinkable down under hoppy lager with fragrant grapefruit and guava aromas and flavors. Perfect with sweet and spicy foods this beer is offered in very limited supplies throughout the Puget Sound region. Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen (North Nut), located at 601 West Holly St in Bellingham, was awarded the National Small Brewpub of the Year 2009 and Small Brewing Company 2011 at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO. The full service “Kitchen” serves lunch, happy hour, and dinner with an eclectic fresh local menu for all ages. Learn more about Chuckanut Brewery, www.chuckanutbreweryandkitchen.com

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
