Enjoy Open Air Dining and Jazz on the Bay, with Hotel Bellwether

The Lighthouse Bar & Grill, located at Hotel Bellwether, in Bellingham, announces that it will be completely open to the sunshine and fresh air of Bellingham Bay through these beautiful warm summer months. The restaurant has replaced the entire wall of bay-facing windows with operable glass that will be open the restaurant to the warm sunshine and fresh sea breeze when the weather allows. The fresh air ambiance will certainly add to the weekly lineup of live music the restaurant offers. There is live jazz in the lounge every Tuesday night from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday night from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday nights are live acoustic Ladies’ Night from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and Thursday is Bellingham’s famed “Blues, Brews, and BBQ” outside on the Waterfront Terrace. The view from The Lighthouse Bar & Grill is unmatched throughout Bellingham as it has surrounding vistas of the San Juan Islands, Bellingham Bay, Mount Baker, and the Olympic Mountains in the distance as well as the neighboring sailboats of Bellingham Marina. Diners will also notice bright colors and blooming florals around the terrace and patio to add to the waterfront backdrop. “Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Lighthouse Bar and Grill and soak in the view next to our new dining room windows that bring the outside in,” said Elizabeth Crawford, the Director of Sales and Catering. Guests will now be able to enjoy some of the restaurant’s new featured menu items in the warm summer air. Some frequent guest favorites include the Seafood Panzanella Salad, Filet Mingon with Scallops, and our sweet Chocolate and Raspberry Cake. Chef Michael Grogan rotates through seasonal dinner specials and uses the freshest ingredients to deliver fine northwest dining.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
