Mt. Baker Music Skillshare Retreat

Share your passion for music, meet new people and enjoy the beauty and wonder of the forest at this year's Mt. Baker Music SkillShare Retreat June 9-12, 2017. Join the group for rustic riverside camping at Excelsior Campground in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest near Glacier, Washington and meet up with experienced and novice musicians for practice circles, one on one jamming, group sessions, and workshops. This event is designed as a way for experienced musicians to share their skills, and novices to take their skills to the next level. If you are an experienced musician and are interested in leading a workshop please let us know. All acoustic instruments are welcome if you don’t have to plug it in to play it, bring it along. Fees to participate are $50.00 per person or $140 per family for 3 nights of camping and participation in the event. Parking is at a premium in the campground so we do require $10.00 for a pass to park your vehicle. RV’s, motorhomes and the like that you drive in and sleep in may be exempt, just ask. Tent space is plentiful and carpooling is encouraged. If you are interested in lodging offsite and purchasing a day pass to the event please let us know. This is an all ages event. Families with children are warmly invited to participate and minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Dogs, on a leash at all times, are also welcome. Payment and registration are available online, visit musicskillshare.com.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
