With much attention on its shoreline, it’s often overlooked that Bellingham boasts 100,000 acres of productive farmland, ranking the region as a major agriculture player. In fact, its production is rated in the top three percent of all counties in the United States, raises more than 60 percent of the nation’s red raspberries, and the dairy farms are the most productive in Washington State.
