2020 Cannabis Solutions reopens downtown Bellingham store

The third 2020 Cannabis Solutions store in Bellingham reopened Friday, April 3 after implementing protocols to improve the safety of guests and team members.

The store at 2018 Iron St. in downtown Bellingham opened for the first time since closing the evening of March 18 due to coronavirus concerns. The stores at 4770 Pacific Highway (near the Interstate 5/Slater Road interchange), and 5655 Guide Meridian, several miles north of Bellingham, reopened March 23.

“We’ve made appropriate changes for the safety of our guests and team members,” said Aaron Nelson, the Director of Actualization for 2020 Cannabis Solutions. “We now can meet the needs of people living closer to the Iron Street store while also providing more hours of work to budtenders wanting them.”

The reopened stores are offering curbside service (as long as all occupants of the car are over 21) to limit the number of guests in the store, Nelson said, and ensure appropriate social distancing.

Founded in 2014, 2020 Cannabis Solutions is the leading retail cannabis brand in Whatcom County, totaling over $7.1 million in sales in 2019. The Bellingham Regional Chamber of Commerce named 2020 Cannabis Solutions its 2019 Small Business of the Year.

.
We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
