Bellingham Symphony Holiday Magic concert Dec. 8

The Bellingham Symphony Orchestra will pack the Mount Baker Theatre in Downtown Bellingham with holiday cheer on December 8, 2019 when the 4th annual Holiday Magic concert takes the stage. This year's concert features a movie screening of the popular 1982 family film, The Snowman, complete with live orchestra and local children's choirs from Geneva Elementary, Lowell Elementary, and Northern Heights Elementary.

Enjoy festive classics like Sleigh Ride and Silent Night, and join in for a fun family sing-along with the children's choirs.

As always, the Symphony will be serving up hot cocoa and marshmallows in the Walton Theatre during intermission for all the kiddos in the audience (and those young at heart).

BSO musician Gena Mikkelsen describes Holiday Magic as one of her favorite concerts each year. "My favorite part is the part where the audience gets to sing with us, and you kind of get that community with the orchestra and the audience. It really brings that holiday spirit around. You can feel the energy in the audience and in the orchestra, and I think it's just really special." Holiday Magic has sold out multiple years in a row, so be sure to get your tickets early!

Sunday, December 8 at 3 p.m. at Mount Baker Theatre. Tickets start at $15. For details, call the Mount Baker Theatre Box Office at (360) 734-6080 or visit the BSO website at www.bellinghamsymphony.org.

Doors open at 2 p.m. Seating begins at 2:30 p.m. This concert qualifies for Classical Kids, Take-A-Teen, and Student Rush ticket discounts. Visit www.bellinghamsymphony.org/visit-us/ticket-discounts to learn more.
