Father’s Day Car Show Offers Free Family Fun

More than 200 classic and modified cars and trucks are expected June 20 for the seventh-annual Father’s Day Car Show at Whatcom County’s Bellewood Farms & Distillery.

Presented from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. by Gear Heads of Whatcom County, admission is free for spectators. Music and samples of farm-made apple spirits also will be offered and the Bellewood Farms cafe and bakery, featuring eight selections of fresh pies to properly thank dad, will be open.

Twenty-six trophies will be presented at 2 p.m. Drawings for more than $2,000 in prizes will be conducted during the show.

Net proceeds will benefit the Bellingham Food Bank, Whatcom Humane Society, Vietnam Veterans of America and Project Santa Claus.

Car and truck registration costs $20. Early registration is encouraged since COVID-19 safety protocols may limit numbers. To register, visit https://bellewoodfarms.com/events.

Bellewood Farms & Distillery is located at 6140 Guide Meridian, between East Hemmi and Ten Mile roads and about seven miles away from Bellingham, Ferndale and Lynden. For more information, call (360) 318-7720 or visit www.bellewoodfarms.com.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
