In this role, Jenkins will be overseeing all marketing efforts for the hotel, as well as focusing on sales activities and providing strategic planning for group and leisure lodging and event space sales, revenue, digital marketing, advertising and public relation efforts. Jenkins will also work closely with the hotel’s catering team, which arranges meetings, weddings and events of up to 550 guests throughout the hotel’s 10,000 square feet of event space with cuisine from award-winning Executive Chef Scott Emerick and restaurant Lighthouse Grill.

During this time, she served on the City of Bellingham Tourism Commission, Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism Board and Lodging Tax Allocation Committee.

Jenkins then served for eight years at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel and conference center in Bellingham as a Director of Sales and Marketing. “We are excited to have Christine join the Hotel Bellwether team with her experience, expertise and strong relationships in the community,” said Jim Haupt, Hotel Bellwether General Manager. “We look forward to her leadership and collaborations in expanding marketing and business opportunities at the hotel, developing key community partnerships and growing the group segment from the key markets of Seattle and Pacific Northwest.”

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
