WWU to Host 29th Annual Keybank Viking Night on September 14

The Western Washington University Department of Athletics in Bellingham, WA has announced that the 29th Annual KeyBank Viking Night Dinner & Auction will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018, inside Carver Gymnasium on the WWU campus. The annual fundraiser helps raise money to support over 300 student-athletes that compete for WWU’s 15 intercollegiate programs. Viking Night is recognized as one of the premier social events in Whatcom County with a huge gathering of Western boosters attending each year. The 29th edition of the fundraiser features the theme “Blue Carpet Affair” and will begin with a silent auction and cocktail hour from 5-7:30 pm, followed by a dinner and live auction from 7:30-9 pm. The event can accommodate up to 500 guests. Registration and pricing information for 2018 Viking Night is available online by visiting WWUVikings.com/VikingNight. Reservations are recommended by August 17. For more information on Viking Night, please contact Courtney Stringer (360-650-3688 / Courtney.Stringer@wwu.edu) or Nicole Ebersole (360-650-4314 / Nicole.Ebersole@wwu.edu) in the WWU Athletics Department.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
