Walking tour of historic Woodstock Farm. From Recreation Northwest’s downtown Bellingham Headquarters, hop aboard our Adventure Shuttle to Woodstock Farm perched on Chuckanut Drive. This hidden City Park gem is tucked in the glorious necklace of trails and parks found in South Bellingham. The destination is a former gentleman’s farm managed by our partners at Bellingham Parks. We will take you on a walk through time of the development of the farm and the legacy of the park that Cyrus and Mabel Gates built in Bellingham along with their friends for our community to enjoy to this day. In 1905, Cyrus Gates purchased the land on Chuckanut Drive that became his beloved Woodstock Farm. Gates built a Craftsman-style house and outbuildings and in the early 1920s, a large addition was built on the house. The City of Bellingham acquired Woodstock Farm in June 2004 for use as a public park. It is now on the State’s Historic Register. This park is open to the public. Public Parking is limited.
