American Foundation for Suicide Prevention & Whatcom County Lions Clubs “Out of the Darkness Walk”

The 2nd annual Whatcom County “Out of the Darkness Walk”, hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Lions Clubs of Whatcom County. The 1 mile “Walk” supports the AFSP’s education and support programs and its bold goal to reduce the annual U.S. rate of suicide 20% by the year 2025.

Various community resource partners will be on hand at the opening ceremonies for the event scheduled for 10 a.m. at the VFW with day-of registration beginning at 9 a.m.

Due to limited parking at the VFW, parking at the 1300 Commercial Street Garage, the endpoint for the “Walk”, is recommended. Per WA State Health Department guidelines, masks are required while attending the indoor portion of this event.
