Amanda Geers, Sir Frederique von Turtlestein - IN PERSON

Set in San Juan Island, Sir Frederique von Turtlestein is the knight’s journey of a red-eared slider turtle and his new friend, a rufous hummingbird. Their quest leads them to the giants, monsters, and dragons of the natural kingdom, but none so deceitful as the bullies in their own minds. Amanda Geers earned a BA in English: Creative Writing with an emphasis in poetry at Seattle Pacific University. A mom to both humans and animals, she nourishes her soul through dance, communing with nature, and following her writing dreams. She lives in a cabin like home in the woods of Sammamish, WA.
