Stay safe and strong, mask up when inside and be kind! We're happy to see you.

MLK Volunteer Appreciation & Stewardship Event

As we merge forward into 2022, we would like to kick things off by hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Event. Yes, we want to give our tremendous thanks to you! Along with the many other volunteers who came out to work parties the previous year & in years past. We will begin the day in the Lower Pavillion at Fairhaven Park with light pastries & fresh hot coffee on what will most likely be a cold wintery day. This will be an opportunity for everyone to connect with new & old faces in the community, along with giving our thanks to all of the wonderful volunteers.

The second half of the morning, be prepared to get your hands dirty as we continue our habitat restoration in Fairhaven Park. Here are some of the objectives we wish to accomplish; remove invasive ivy & holly, eradicate invasive blackberries in the Native Plant Site, among some other small tasks. Since we will be inside the Lower Pavillion during the first part of the day, we will be asking all participants to wear a mask.
