Farm Tunes at Bellewood Farms

Free outdoor concerts featuring bluegrass, folk and more will be presented with a backdrop of Mt. Baker at sunset during the eight-week Farm Tunes series this summer at Whatcom County’s Bellewood Farms & Distillery for family friendly outdoor concerts from 6-9 p.m. Food and beverages are available from its Ten Mile Cafe. Free samples of farm-made spirits are served in the distillery’s tasting room.

Fridays feature artists from throughout the Pacific Northwest. Farm Tunes begins July 22 with Mark Wagner and the series concludes Sept. 9 with Virginia Rail. 

“Adults can relax beneath the summer sky with a burger and a beverage while children accompany them or play in the nearby tire garden,” said Eric Abel, president of Bellewood Farms. “Farm Tunes enables us to support regional musicians who rarely could perform in front of live audiences the last two years due to COVID-19.”

The Farm Tunes schedule is: 

• July 22, Mark Wagner, offering Southern roots and an indie-pop style
• July 29, longtime local band Prozac Mountain Boys
• Aug. 5, Heron & Crow, Americana, folk and bluegrass
• Aug. 12, The Unknowns, jazz, blues and contemporary originals, specializing in three-part harmony
• Aug. 19, Handsome and Gretyl, a married couple with an earthy folk feel
• Aug. 26, Queen’s Bluegrass and its hard-driving, traditional bluegrass
• Sept. 2, Blackwoods Hucksters, found at the crossroads of country blues and bluegrass
• Sept. 9, Virginia Rail, a Bellingham bluegrass band
