The Life and Times of A. Einstein

Writer and actress Kres Mersky presents her one-woman comedy, The Life and Times of A. Einstein.

Mersky’s show examines a day in the life of the legendary scientist as seen through the eyes of his secretary. The scene is Princeton, New Jersey in 1934. A group of journalists have gathered to interview famed physicist Albert Einstein. As usual, the scientist is running late. His devoted secretary, Ellen, stalls by fielding questions, placating and humoring the journalists. The result is a hilarious evening!

This is a science story, a woman’s story, a love story, and a slice of history, all rolled into one. ‘Out of the Box: Theatrical Series’ is a brand new MBT series showcasing intimate theatrical performances – small in scale, but large in excellence! Join us in the Harold & Irene Walton Theatre to witness a lineup that is sure to surprise and delight theater enthusiasts.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
