Lummi Island Foundation for Education Annual Turkey Trot

LIFE's popular Annual Turkey Trot will take place the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 26th at 10:30 a.m. at Beach Elementary School. This is a great event for the whole family or friend group and this year we're excited to have the Lummi Island Heritage Trust join us and include the Curry Preserve as part of the route!

Leashed dogs are welcome, and we encourage you to bring and dress up your dog (and yourself). There will be a dog-costume contest at the end of the course as well as hot drinks and freshly-baked treats to refuel you and keep you toasty.

We have a lot of great registration options complete with LIFE-branded Klean Kanteen insulated tumblers, bookplates, embroidered beanies, and naturally dyed bandanas made by Beach School students. Please join us and the Heritage Trust to raise essential funds for Beach Elementary School.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
