Lummi Island Full Day Kayak Tour

A short 20 minute drive from Bellingham, you arrive at a quaint little Ferry landing where you will catch a short 6 minute ferry ride to beautiful Lummi Island, population 964. This slow-paced magical little island will inspire you to relax and enjoy the rhythms of the island life.

Our full day kayak trip begins from our quiet private launch location in Legoe Bay. We will spend the day exploring the coastline of Lummi Island, searching for vibrant intertidal life, and being guided by eagles soaring overhead. We'll stop for lunch on a secluded beach and spend some time exploring the coastline. After soaking in the sunshine, we'll return to our kayaks and paddle back to our launch location. This tour is great for folks wanting to spend a full day on the water and explore parts of Lummi that can only be seen by kayak.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
