LGBTQ+ Stand-Up Paddle Board Session

Celebrate love and pride in the outdoors! The Community Boating Center is hosting these Stand-Up Paddle Board sessions as a way to create celebrations space for the LGBTQ+ community and allies on the water.

We recognize that this population has historically been excluded from outdoor recreational spaces and we wanted to create safe spaces that are open and welcoming for everyone. This is a place where people can explore new or existing paddle board skills and experience the beautiful bay with our community. Find balance with friends, new and old. We hope it promotes better balance, on your boards and in your lives!

Starts: August 18, 2023

Occurs: Every week on Friday until October 27, 2023
Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Location: The Community Boating Center
555 Harris Ave, Bellingham, WA 98225

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
