Morgan McHugh, Ivy Ficarra, Cascade Cody

Singer-songwriter Morgan McHugh boldly pens his own entry in the decades-old folk-americana songbook. Powerful vocals that cut to the bone. “I write from the heart and I really think about what I'm writing,” he notes. ”There’s a real ebb and flow to the process. For the past few years I’ve spent the summers on fishing boats in Alaska, and when I don’t have cell service and I’m really off the grid I have a lot of time to think. It is when the creative process really gets rolling.” McHugh’s songs come from a deeply personal perspective; clean, honest and dripping with truth.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
