NSEA’s Salmon Sunset Soiree

It's a crisp, clean Saturday evening in October. Hundreds of cheerful individuals gather for the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association's (NSEA’s) inaugural Salmon Sunset Soiree. A cocktail party with delectable appetizers that tantalize the taste buds, complemented by lively music echoing through the Hotel Bellwether Ballroom. As the sun sets, the sky is painted with hues of orange, red, and pink that mirror the colors of the majestic salmon swimming in the bay towards their spawning grounds.

The evening is brimming with joy and community spirit. Laughter fills the air as attendees engage in silent auctions and games of chance to raise $50,000 for NSEA’s salmon recovery efforts in Whatcom County.

RSVP today to join in the fun and help us meet our fundraising goal!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
