The road to Artist Point (the final section of SR 542) and Highway 20 (starting at Ross Dam Trailhead) are both closed for the season.

Youth Small Loom Weaving

This class welcomes first time weavers and those with experience, too! We will work on some larger pieces so we can experiment with different weaving techniques such as, Tabby, Soumak and Rya (Shag) techniques. Along with our cardboard weaving frames, we will have some time to explore other small loom possibilities such as Card Weaving and Bead Looms. Again, we invite you to come and explore the diverse possibilities in the Art of Weaving and let us know what interests you for our future class planning.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
