Tea-Making Workshop: Chai Blends & Foraging with Northwest Natura

Craft your own Chai Blend and learn the medicinal benefits of spices, herbs, roots and forageable winter finds - this is a great last-minute gift idea for the holidays! Students will be provided all the herbs they will need for making their own crafted chai blend, but first, we’ll head to the park to see if we can forage some extra ingredients like rose and medicinal mushrooms. 

Outdoor session: embrace the winter and learn what nature has to offer - practice identifying plants and mushrooms and how to process them into delicious medicinal tea blends. 

Each participant will leave with their own bagged tea blends. Materials provided in this course with tuition: 9 different chai tea elements (bulk herbs, roots, seeds purchased from local herb stores, Living Earth Herbs and Wonderland Tea), Herbs from Northwest Natura’s Apothecary as optional ingredients, Tea bags, Recipes for future blends, Processing equipment & more.
