ALONE TOGETHER: Let’s run separately together and enjoy some social time virtually together with a beverage in the comfort and safety of each of our homes.

We miss running together. We miss sharing our experiences, both good and bad, with each other. We miss each others counsel. We miss the collective joy of our bonding in health and our growing friendships. Let’s get a little bit of that back.

Our plan is to all start our run at the same time of 6:00p from our respective homes, if that can work. Run a route of 30-45 minutes. Return to your home around 6:45p. Join a Zoom (Zoom Video Communications) chat session between 6:45p-7:00p. Grab your beverage of choice and enjoy some time with your friends online in our virtual BYOG (bring your own growler). No designated driver necessary. Zoom session will close at 7:30p.

Think of Zoom as the pub, brewery, cidery or meadery we are visiting post-run. When you return from your run, launch Zoom, then enter our session. Say hello to those who are already in our virtual pub, then go get your beverage and/or freshen up before returning to the session. We’ll be there, just like in a real pub.

Zoom : https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84167968527?pwd=YnVKQjdPaUJNUmZPYmxzK0E0N2REdz09

To protect the session from non-participants hijacking our session, wBBay SOLOdarity Zoom Run IVhen you enter the session, you will be placed in a waiting room. The host will let into the live session (and can kick those out, like a bouncer, who get unruly).

We hope you can make this unique separately together run and virtual pub Zoom session.

Please post any questions or ideas you may have to help make this a healthy and enjoyable experience for all.
