Join the City of Bellingham for this online event to kick off our second ALL IN for Climate Action Week. We are honored and excited to have two amazing, knowledgeable speakers share during this event about their experiences working on climate justice issues:

Tamara Toles O’Laughlin is the North America Director at 350.org whose work focuses “on equity, access and community. She develops capacity building programs and creates multimedia campaigns to dismantle privilege and increase opportunities for vulnerable populations to access healthy air, clean energy, and a toxic free economy at the local, regional, and national level.”

Dr. Sweta Chakraborty “is a risk and behavioral scientist. She is recognized as an expert communicator who helps household decision-makers better understand existing and emerging risks to be better prepared to thrive on a rapidly changing planet. From climate change, food and water insecurity and scarcity, social strife, over-population, and pandemics, Dr. Chakraborty is the go-to person to learn the truth about, implications of, and the solutions to the risks that threaten human security and well-being.”

Bellingham Mayor Seth Fleetwood will provide an introduction. Dr. Grace Wang, Professor and Department Chair of Huxley College of the Environment at WWU, will moderate the event.
