Are you interested in improving the energy efficiency of your home? Increasing energy efficiency will not only save you money, but it will also reduce your overall energy consumption and help Bellingham reach its climate action goals!

The event will take place at the Building Performance Center – a nationally recognized training facility for contractors and a hub for weatherization services in Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan Counties. At this interactive event, individuals will learn the basics about home performance and how certain changes can make a big impact in improving their home’s energy efficiency. Participants will get a close-up look at how diagnostic tools are used during an energy audit, tour the training test houses, learn about services offered by Puget Sound Energy and Cascade Natural Gas, and get an infrared picture taken of themselves! Local contractors will be on hand to explain their services and offer special promotions.

Hosted by the Community Energy Challenge, a non-profit partnership between Opportunity Council and Sustainable Connections. The two-fold goal of the Community Energy Challenge is to encourage and support residential and commercial energy efficiency retrofits, and to boost local economic development in the construction sector.

This event is part of the City of Bellingham’s first ALL IN for Climate Action Week. Find a full list of events at www.cob.org/all-in.
