Shannon D. Stabbert, milliner of Pheonix Feather and Millinery, will give a talk on how Resistance fighters throughout the ages used fashion as a way to communicate their message and inspire others, and how this technique can be used to NOW to empower you to provoke social change. She will have one of her pieces that shows symbolic representation of secret/symbolic language of flowers developed in the Victorian era.
This presentation is offered as part of Social Fabric’s November Hat Celebration! Shannon’s incredible pieces along with fellow Northwest milliners will have their work exhibited in “The Art of Millinery” at Social Fabric. Viewing is open to the public and free to view during regular business hours and open until 9 pm during Art Walk and Wine Walk.
