Event Details:

Refresh yourself from the hustle of the holidays, settle your mind, and get on a path toward balance for the new year. Join us for a carefully curated, extended Yin yoga class led by Kendall Tetsworth.

You will be supported by live guitar played by local musician, Callum McSherry, and throughout class will be joined by Kendall on harmonium. The workshop will begin with meditation and breathwork, then transition to a full Yin practice with an extended Savasana. Yin Yoga is a perfect balance to the Yang of our fast paced lives. This workshop will take us on an inner journey to cultivate mindfulness, an awareness of our internal responses and the fluctuations of the mind.

A slow, meditative and intense practice, Yin yoga is practiced while seated or lying down. Postures are held in stillness for long holds (1-10 minutes). Because Yin targets the joints and connective tissues such as ligaments and fascia rather than muscles, the release from Yin is unlike that from other classes. A perfect compliment to dynamic forms of yoga, Yin promotes deep release and relaxation.
