Join BTC’s SHIFT: Students Helping Build an Inclusive Future for the Trades for a screening of “Sista in the Brotherhood” on Monday, Oct. 15, in Settlemyer Hall in BTC’s Campus Center building.
This 20-minute short film features a black tradeswoman who faces discrimination on a new job site and must choose between making a stand or keeping her job. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director Dawn Jones Redstone and producer Dr. Roberta Hunte. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the film starts at 6:30 p.m.
Entry is free for BTC students with ID; $5 at the door for the public.
This event is presented by the Associated Students of Bellingham Technical College in collaboration with SHIFT: Students Helping Build an Inclusive Future for the Trades.
