The National Interagency Fire Center has predicted an above normal significant wildland fire potential for Northwest Washington this spring. With increasing temperatures, decreasing summer rain, and earlier snowmelt our region is becoming more and more susceptible to wildfire.
Hear from firefighting and forestry professionals, community preparedness experts, and local and state leaders. Learn about what other communities like ours are doing to make their homes more survivable. This workshop is designed to provide a clear understanding of local wildfire risk and the resources available to help landowners better prepare for wildfire, while also inspiring and empowering them to take action.
We all have a role to play in protecting ourselves and others from the dangers of wildfire. Bring a neighbor and come learn. Refreshments will be provided.
