Home / Press Releases / Boundary Bay’s Irish-Style Red Ale and St. Patrick’s Day Festivities
For Immediate Release:

February 16, 2017

Boundary Bay’s Irish-Style Red Ale and St. Patrick’s Day Festivities

Boundary Bay Brewery released its Irish-Style Red seasonal on February 1, 2017. Every year it is brewed to celebrate the spirit of the Bellingham Community and the Bellingham St. Patrick’s Day Parade*.

With a deep-red hue, the Irish-Style Red Ale is smooth, lighter-bodied ale with medium-to-low hop bitterness and a toffee-like roasted, dry, yet malty, clean finish.

“The true beauty of the Irish Red is the beautiful red color and the easy drinkability,” Head Brewer Steve Ellison says. “You don’t need to wait until St. Patrick’s Day to start enjoying the Irish Red.”

While you can start enjoying the Irish-Style Red Ale now, it’s also a very good complement to St. Patrick’s Day. The Bellingham St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 11 is the perfect day to enjoy a couple pints, especially since the parade ends at Boundary Bay!

The Irish-Style Red Ale isn’t the only beer brewed at Boundary Bay inspired by Ireland. The smooth and creamy Dry Irish Stout, brewed year-round, is a perfect craft beer for celebrating the upcoming holiday.

Irish-Style Red Stats:

5.25% ABV / 26 IBU / 12°P OG

Hops: Perle, Fuggles & Cascade

Malts: 2-Row Pale, Pilsner, Munich, Vienna & Roasted Barley

Available on tap & in 22 oz. bottles.

Additionally, Boundary Bay will be celebrating the holiday with a special Irish-Inspired menu on St Patrick’s Day, and a limited Irish menu on Parade day!

And here’s a music lineup that is scheduled for now, but it is subject to change.
