Grow Your Food Business at the 2018 Farm-to-Table Trade Meeting in Bellingham

Sustainable Connections invites all food businesses and growers to the NW Washington Farm-to-Table Trade Meeting at 8:30 a.m. on February 20th, 2018 at Bellingham Technical College. The event is open to all food and farming businesses, organizations, and individuals. Registration is needed. $45 for Sustainable Connections members and $55 for non-members.

The Farm-to-Table Trade Meeting is one of the leading food and farming business conferences held in the region, generating approximately $500,000 in new business-to-business sales each year. The Trade Meeting brings together 175+ farmers, fishermen, food artisans, restaurants, grocers, and others interested in sourcing local ingredients or selling local food. Past attendees report an average of six new sales connections as a result of the event! There will be facilitated networking, one-on-one consultations for food buyers and sellers, a vibrant expo, educational workshops, and a local entrepreneur’s hot seat panel learning from businesses from diverse sectors, and a happy hour sips and bites mixer.

The keynote address, “Growing Our Regional Food Infrastructure,” will be given by Patsy Martin of the Port of Skagit County and Mauri Ingram from the Whatcom Community Foundation and will be followed by breakout sessions such as What Buyers Want, Marketing 201: Know your Customer, Grow your Business, and Building The Perfect Circle – Creating a Locally Sourced Menu + Downsizing Food Waste.

In addition, lunch will be a meal not to miss! One of the biggest highlights of the conference, the Northwest Washington Chef’s Collective will be partnering with the Bellingham Technical College Culinary Arts program to create a gourmet and seasonally inspired seven-course lunch for all attendees. Early bird registration ends January 19th, with pricing and registration on the Sustainable Connections events webpage.
