Mount Baker Theatre Presents a Rollicking Musical Outing from Pink Martini with China Forbes Apr. 22

Mount Baker Theatre in Bellingham, WA is proud to present the biggest little orchestra around – Pink Martini featuring lead singer China Forbes for a one-night engagement on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at 7:00 pm.

Tickets to Pink Martini with China Forbes can be purchased for $29.50-69.50 plus applicable fees. For tickets, call 360-734-6080.

Drawing inspiration from music from all over the world – crossing genres of classical, jazz and old-fashioned pop – Thomas Lauderdale founded Pink Martini in 1994 to provide more beautiful and inclusive musical soundtracks for political fundraisers for causes such as civil rights, affordable housing, the environment, libraries, public broadcasting, education and parks.

Twenty years later, Pink Martini still tours the world, singing in 22 languages at opera houses, concert halls, film festivals, museums and fashion shows.   In 2014, Pink Martini was inducted into both the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame and the Oregon Music Hall of Fame.

Audiences will enjoy popular favorites from the band’s 23-year career as well as songs from their latest release, Je dis oui!, as they take a musical trip around the world from France to Iran, Armenia to South Africa.  The arrangements of Latin music, jazz, cabaret and cinema scores come together in a sound that defies categorization but is guaranteed to dazzle.

Part of the mission of Mount Baker Theatre is to bring world-class entertainment to Bellingham as the local hub for live performing arts.
