Tour Chuckanut’s South Nut Brewery May 20

Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen located at 601 West Holly Street in Bellingham was awarded the National Small Brewpub/Brewer of the Year 2009 and National Small Brewery/Brewer of the Year 2011 at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF). The full service “Kitchen” serves from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm to guests of all ages with an eclectic fresh local menu. In addition, Chuckanut has also recently opened its South Nut Tap Room is in the heart of Skagit Valley, 11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington, welcoming guests of all ages.

Are you curious about how Chuckanut Brewery generates the most perfect and exquisite tasting beer day in and day out? Looking for a fun family outing? Take a free tour of the Chuckanut Brewery South Nut & Tap Room (11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington) on Saturday, May 20. The tour will start at noon, when you can see the 20-barrel brew system which is twice the size of the Bellingham brewery and learn about the brewing process and the different lagers and ales Chuckanut brews. For hungry visitors, Valley Hand Pies food truck, well known for their English style individual savory and sweet pies, will be on site.

Tours of Chuckanut South Nut Brewery will continue into the summer, the next will happen on Saturday, June 17 at noon. The Taproom at South Nut is open during the week (Monday-Friday) 3-9 p.m and on Saturday and Sunday 12-9 p.m. Sushi by Chin food truck is on site Mondays and Valley Hand Pies are serving pies Tuesday and Thursdays. Java Jo’s Big Red Food Truck will be around Friday-Saturday the first weekend of each month. For updates about tours and other visiting food trucks check out Chuckanut’s facebook and website.
