Whatcom Community College’s STEM Carnival goes virtual May 11-15, 2020

Whatcom Community College’s second annual STEM Carnival will be presented online May 11-15, 2020. Families, children, teens, and adults are invited to explore science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) from home through free interactive activities led by WCC faculty and students. A live event is planned for 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14.

Wcc’s Stem Carnival Goes Virtual For Whatcom County Families May 11 15

Examples of the hands-on activities include experimenting with electric currents and magnetic fields, building a catapult, creating a virtual maze, at-home chemical reactions, exploring renewable energy, and a rocketry “how to” guide. Activities are meant for all ages and will utilize materials often found at home. Join the fun by visiting WCC’s Facebook page or whatcom.edu/virtualSTEMcarnival.

Virtual STEM Carnival is sponsored by Emerson Electric Co., Whatcom Community College Library, and Village Books.
