Whatcom Museum Temporarily Closed

In response to Gov. Inslee’s recent COVID-19 restrictions, the Whatcom Museum campus will be closed Nov. 16 through Dec. 15, 2020, or until further notice.

As a public gathering space, the health and safety of our community is our priority. Please visit our COVID-19 response page for updates and more information about closures and our safety measures.

Although the Lightcatcher galleries, Family Interactive Gallery (FIG), Old City Hall, and Photo Archives are closed, the Museum Store remains open at 25% capacity for in-person shopping. Hours for Wednesday, Nov. 18, through Saturday, Nov. 21, are noon – 4pm. Hours are subject to change each week. Please check our Store page regularly for updates. We also accept orders by phone for curbside pickup or shipping.

We will continue to offer virtual programs during our closure. Our goal is to stay connected to our community and continue to provide engaging, educational content. You can find all our upcoming programs on our online event calendar.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this difficult time. We have deeply enjoyed seeing visitors return to the Museum these last couple of months. If you’d like to help us weather this new closure, please consider making a donation. Even a small donation goes a long way!

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Museum once we reopen. Stay healthy!
