Mount Baker Theatre offers students "rush" 50% off tickets in advance to three different shows, May 12, 18 and June 1

The Mount Baker Theatre in Bellingham, WA will extend 50% off  tickets for three world-class musical performances to school-aged children or anyone with a student ID. Sunday, May 12, 3 p.m., Mount Baker Theatre presents Live from Laurel Canyon: Songs & Stories of American Folk Rock. This ninety-minute musical retrospective celebrates some of the most influential artists who lived in Laurel Canyon between 1965 and 1975. Enjoy the music of bands like the Mamas and the Papas; the Byrds; Buffalo Springfield; the Doors; Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young; James Taylor; Carole King; Joni Mitchell; Jackson Browne; Linda Ronstadt; and America. Saturday, May 18, 7:30 p.m., be mesmerized by virtuoso clarinetist Anat Cohen joined by nine stellar musicians and Musical Director, Oded Lev-Ari, at the Mount Baker Theatre. Audiences will delight in Anat’s charismatic woodwind talent in company with strings, horns, percussion, and even an accordion performing a wide range of music from Brazilian to African grooves. Saturday, June 1, 8pm, pull out your evening wear for a top-notch night when Mount Baker Theatre welcomes the suave musical stylings of an East Coast legend, Michael Feinstein, paired with a Pacific Northwest favorite, Storm Large in "Shaken & Stirred". Michael Feinstein has built a dazzling career as a singer and pianist bringing the music of the Great American Songbook to the world. Locally-loved for her appearances with MBT favorite Pink Martini, Large has been performing with symphonies all over the US for the past two years. Part of the mission of Mount Baker Theatre is to bring world-class entertainment to Bellingham as the local hub for live performing arts.
