Motorcycle Riders Will Head to Blaine for "Ride to the Border", June 2

[caption id="attachment_64661" align="aligncenter" width="455"] Photo courtesy of Blaine Chamber[/caption] Located at the northwest U.S. 4th Corner, The seaside town of Blaine is where hundreds of riders come from around the country throughout the year to complete their 4th Corner U.S. tour. On Saturday, June 2, 2018, motorcycle riders will be cruising into Blaine for the first Ride to the Border. For those who are coming into town, there is lots of activity happening. Here are some highlights to expect:

  • Sip a cold brew and revel in live music downtown at the beer garden overlooking the harbor from 11 am to 5 pm featuring performances by Mystery Music and The Replayzmentz.
  • Choose your slime from a selection of slugs to participate in the Blaine Gardeners’ Market Opening Day International Slug Races beginning at 12:30 pm followed by games and prizes for kids.  This local seasonal market features a variety of plants, fruits and vegetables all homegrown as well as handmade crafts.
  • Give your sea legs a workout at nearby Blaine Harbor.  Take a tour or reserve a space to sail aboard one of the Tall Ships Lady Washington or Hawaiian Chieftain visiting here from June 1 – 5.  For more information or to book a sailing call 1- 800-200-5239.
  • Hop aboard the Historic Plover Ferry to Semiahmoo Spit, or kids will love playing at the Pirate Playground in Marine Park. Have some Hawaiian themed fun for the whole family at the Aloha Dance Party from 10 am to noon, located by Gate 3 near the tall ships. Info at 360-332-4544.
