For the past 12 years, Sustainable Connections has hosted Eat Local Month events and activities to connect people with food that is grown, raised, harvested, and made right here in Whatcom, Skagit, San Juan, and Island counties. In response to the effects of the COVID-19 crisis, Sustainable Connections is reimagining Eat Local Month in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of our community, while also creating new opportunities for fun and community connection.
The community is encouraged to learn more about Eat Local Month, get a digital passport, and enter to win tasty local food prizes, by visiting eatlocalfirst.org for details.
