Upper Beach residents Karen Simpson and Jeff Bauer strongly believe life shouldn’t be measured by the amount of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away. Up until just more than four years ago, the couple, who have lived near Main and Gerrard streets for the last 11 years, were literally and figuratively out of breath working full time in the day and ferrying their blended family of four children to hockey, soccer, karate, swimming and a whole other host of sports practices and games in the evenings.
