The Best West Coast Colleges for Skiers

Oh, college. It's the best four, five, or eight years of your life as you gain the education and social skills necessary to become a functional, contributing member of society in the post-graduate world. While your parents and professors might assume you're going to college to get a degree, chances are you're hoping to spend a least some of your time studying that sweet powder when you shipping off to school in the fall. With that in mind, we here at POWDER have selected the best schools that find that perfect balance between getting to ski and earning your degree. We chose these schools based on a combination of culture, tuition, academics, and closeness to the slopes. Check out the full list of schools here.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
