Thunder Run Food Drive

We are collecting food that will be partly ground delivered around Whatcom County but also flown out to Point Roberts and then food banks in Clallam, Jefferson, Island and Skagit Counties in addition to food going via Miracle Food Network throughout our county.

Just go to the Lakeway Fred Meyers customer service desk and let them know it's for the DART airlift on June 8th for Thunder Run. This is where we learn to use aviation after all the roads go out after the big earthquake we are due for. Here's last year's Thunder Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14o6zG9ylAk&t=34s

Starts: April 29, 2024

Occurs: Every day until June 05, 2024
Location: Lakeway Fred Meyers
800 Lakeway Dr., Bellingham, WA 98229

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
