BIPOC Walks is a program by and for people of color in Bellingham to build community while spending time outdoors. We meet in a different accessible park once a month to get curious about local nature. This program is family-friendly and open to all ages. Come by yourself, with a friend, or bring the whole family to appreciate spending time outside and connect with new nature-loving friends. Now that summer is here, it’s time to explore the shore!
In June, July and August we will be exploring during extremely low negative tides, and frequently find hermit crabs, nudibranchs, sea sponges, baby fish, and even water-shooting clams! This area is also a great spot to see the Great Blue Herons who nest in the trees along the shore. Program is Donation-based/Free, but registration is required to get directions to our exact meeting location. You can learn more or register at www.wildwhatcom.org/bipoc-walks
