Tracy Spring & Friends - Fryday Fish Fry

Welcome to Fish Fry Frydays, where the music is rockin’ and the fish is fryin’! Join us in the beer garden on Friday, July 18th for a FREE show with Tracy Spring & friends! Doors open & food starts at 4 pm, with live music from Tracy & friends at 6 pm!

Tracy Spring (Bellingham) and Janis Carper (Enterprise, OR) have enjoyed musical collaborations spanning over 3 decades. They’ll play mostly original songs, joined by Charlie Maliszewski (Legendary Chucklenuts) on blues harp, Orion Lackey (Sleepy Alligators) on keyboards, and some additional friends too! Tracy Spring is known for her rich, compelling vocals and versatile guitar playing; a writer of 4-minute novels, poetry and music all rolled into one. Her wide musical range is demonstrated by the women to whom she’s been compared…Sarah McLachlan, Tracy Chapman, kd lang, and Yo Yo Ma’s cello… Janis Carper has an ability to craft lyrics and melodies that reach into the heart and mind.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
