On Saturday, August 11, 2018, Haggen Food & Pharmacy and Barkley Village present the first ever outdoor concert in Barkley Village with all proceeds benefiting Lydia Place.  The concert will take place from 4:00-8:00 pm at the newly developed Barkley Village Green located at 2219 Rimland Drive in Bellingham, WA.

Attendees at the first ever Concert on the Green will get to see Sunset Superman, The Naughty Blokes, and featured artist Polecat performing live on stage. While the bands are performing, guests can enjoy beer provided by Kulshan Brewing Co., Aslan Brewing Co., and Boundary Bay Brewery plus delicious food provided by Jalapenos, Chow Gourmet Hot Dogs, Sugar Shack Ice Cream Truck, and Poutine Your Mouth.

Here’s what you can expect:

4:00 pm – Doors Open
4:15 – 5:00 pm – Sunset Superman
5:20 – 6:20 pm – The Naughty Blokes
6:40 – 8:00 pm – Polecat
8:00 pm –  event concludes

“We’re very excited to bring live music to Barkley Village,” said vice president of marketing and leasing Neal Swanson, “we’re hopeful that the combination of really great live music with local food and beer will be the perfect way to showcase the new park as a new outdoor concert venue in Bellingham while raising money for a tremendous cause.”

Barkley Village chose Lydia Place, Bellingham’s leader in the fight against homelessness, to partner within the first-ever concert event. “We are grateful to Barkley Village for using their new park to connect community and compassion in one festive and inclusive event. Homelessness is a complex issue that has far-reaching impacts on our community.” Emily O’Connor, Executive Director for Lydia Place said, “Creative partnerships like this and support from our neighbors makes it possible for our community to make progress toward ending homelessness.”

This is an all-ages concert with adult tickets available for only $20 (includes two drinks), youth tickets for $10 (12 & under), and children 5 and under are free.

Limited tickets are available at www.BarkleyVillage.com/events  or at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3522526
