Bellingham Symphony Orchestra on the Cutting Edge

May 31, 2020, the Bellingham Symphony Orchestra is proud to be at the forefront of virtual concerts by presenting their second virtual concert with renowned violinist Chee-Yun performing Brahms’ Violin Sonata No. 3 “Adagio,” Bach’s Chaconne, and Méditation from the opera Thaïs by Jules Massenet.

Virtual Bellingham Symphony Orchestra Event

BSO Music Director Yaniv Attar will be interviewing Chee-Yun about the pieces before she performs, and those interviews will be interspersed throughout the program.

Also featured are members of the orchestra performing a special surprise and the unveiling of the 2020-21 concert season, as well as the latest on how the BSO will be providing these events for the public, partnering with community resources and media to keep the music alive.

“We are thrilled to be working with our valued community media to provide this free concert in video and audio streaming format,” says Bellingham Symphony’s Executive Director Gail Ridenour. “We are very fortunate to live in a community that pulls together in extraordinary times to provide all of us with ways to continue to connect and participate in the arts while still maintaining safety for our musicians and patrons.”

The concert will be aired through the BSO website: www.bellinghamsymphony.org, City of Bellingham BTV10 community television, and KMRE102.3 FM, at 3:00 p.m. on May 31.

Dr. Ryan Dudenbostel will be providing his customary Pre-Concert Lecture in video format for this concert as well.

Please see the Bellingham Symphony Orchestra website for more details, or call 360-756-6752.
