Bellingham Symphony Orchestra’s Innovative 45th Season Begins October 11, 2020

The Bellingham Symphony Orchestra is proud to be at the forefront of virtual concerts by presenting their online season, Second Sundays: At Home with the BSO.

“The BSO is concerned with keeping our musicians, concert-goers, and community safe during this time, which is why we came up with our innovative online concert series,” says Gail Ridenour, Executive Director of the BSO. “While we don’t know when we can return to Bellingham’s wonderful Mount Baker Theatre stage, we do know that we can bring you fantastic concerts – from our homes to yours!”

Each concert will feature a soloist, an interview with the soloist, and a special performance featuring musicians from the BSO. The season opens this Sunday, October 11 with Seattle Symphony Principal Second Violin Elisa Barston. Music Director Yaniv Attar says, “She is one of my favorite violinists, extremely virtuosic, flawless and one of the most sincere musicians I know – she is the real deal!”

Concerts are available free on concert day through the BSO website, City of Bellingham’s BTV, and KMRE 102.3 FM. After concert day, they move to a paid subscription model. Subscriptions can be purchased for an individual concert or for the entire season. Concerts of the entire season can also be purchased for viewing around the world through the BSO’s Vimeo channel.
