Carolyn Gill, a longtime Bellingham resident with extensive experience in hospitality sales and customer service, recently was named Director of Sales for the Best Western Plus Bellingham Airport Hotel and the adjacent Fox Hall Events Center.

Gill, who has worked the past six years in Bellingham’s hospitality industry, now handles corporate accounts, group reservations for teams, weddings and more, and meeting room rentals for the 132-room Best Western Bellingham Airport Hotel at 3985 Bennett Drive.

“It’s like a new hotel with the recent multimillion-dollar renovation,” Gill said

The Fox Hall Events Center, located next to the hotel at 1661 W. Bakerview Road, reopened late in 2019 after major remodeling. It offers 3,750 square feet of space for weddings, celebrations, banquets and presentations with a capacity of approximately 200 for meals and 250-300 for theater-style seating. Also, the space can be divided in half for smaller events. There is no minimum fee for food and beverages.

“I know how to take care of clients with a high level of service,” Gill said.

Both Best Western Plus Bellingham Airport Hotel and Fox Hall Events Center are managed by Providence Hospitality Partners.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
