Flatstick Pub anticipates opening a location in downtown Bellingham (902 N. State Street) in early 2020. The concept – developed, and operated by brothers, Sam and Andy Largent – was inspired by the idea to create a casual craft beer pub that featured a unique and challenging miniature golf course. In addition to mini golf, the 6,000 square foot space will feature original golf-themed games invented by Flatstick, including Duffleboard ™, Ball Jockey ™, and a brand new game currently in development.
“Bellingham was our top choice when we were deciding the next location for Flatstick Pub,” said Sam Largent, Founder and CEO of Flatstick Pub. “We love the strong sense of community in Bellingham, the many outstanding local breweries, and the energy found in a college town. We’re excited to bring Flatstick to such a fun and unique city.”
The Pub will feature around 30 taps pouring only independent, locally made beer, cider, and wine. Flatstick Pub will also partner with acclaimed Seattle restaurateur, Ethan Stowell (Ethan Stowell Restaurants) to develop the food menu. The Bellingham location plans to be open to minors until 7 p.m. daily, and dog friendly.
Supporting and giving back to the community in which they operate is a core value of Flatstick Pub. In 2018, Flatstick Pub donated more than $140,000 directly to local charities and non-profit organizations, and will continue to give back in all locations in which it operates. Flatstick has donated over $90,000 to local charities through the first half of 2019.
Flatstick Pub is owned by Washington natives Sam, Andy, and Jeni Largent. They opened their first location in Kirkland in 2014 and have since expanded to two other locations in the Seattle area, Pioneer Square and South Lake Union. Flatstick will also open a location in Spokane, WA in Winter 2019, and Tacoma, WA in early-2020.
About Flatstick Pub:
When we first started developing the concept for Flatstick Pub in 2013, we wanted to be more than just another place to buy a beer. We wanted to foster a sense of community within our walls – and to support the community outside our doors. Fundamental to our company is working with local, small businesses, and bringing our customers the unique flavors found throughout the state of Washington. As such, you won’t find any corporate beer, wine or cider in our pubs. Supporting local businesses doesn’t end with the products we sell; we are committed to giving back by donating directly to local charities and non-profit organizations.
Flatstick Pub is family-owned and operated, and every employee, customer and business we work with is an extension of that family. We are committed to leaving a positive imprint on the communities in which we operate by “drinking local,” taking care of our employees, and providing a unique and memorable experience for all of our customers.
