Hotel Bellwether's Premier Wine Tasting Social Announces December Wineries

The Hotel Bellwether and Lighthouse Grill in Bellingham, WA are bringing four incredible wineries to the hotel's Compass Wine Room for  a Premier Wine Tasting Social on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This month features Three Rivers Winery, Chalk Hill, The Four Graces Winery, and Treveri Cellars. Ticket prices are $30 plus tax for each event and include several wine tastings from each winery, light appetizers and small bites. Each of these casual wine tasting events in the Hotel Bellwether's Compass Wine Room feature at least two wineries offering their best vintages for tasting and purchase.  Guests are treated to a unique opportunity to taste Northwest produced, limited production wines that are also offered at special prices for purchase that evening. As you sip and savor, you will enjoy the finest bites from the hotel's Lighthouse Grill. Named from the three most prominent rivers in Eastern Washington, Columbia, Snake and Walla Walla, Three Rivers Winery has a style defined by moderate alcohols, firm structures and varietal accuracy. With peaceful views of Whitman Mission and the Blue Mountains in the distance, the winery sets atop a small knoll overlooking the surrounding vineyards. Enjoy these concentrated, ripe and juicy, and never heavy-handed wines. The casual luxury of Sonoma County is captured in the essence of Chalk Hill located on 300 acres of vineyards, wilderness, hospitality center, sports fields, fishing, swimming ponds, guest houses and so much more. Proprietor, Bill Foley truly preserves the land as he honors it by producing wines with exceptional qualities. The quest for quality is evident through winemaker Courtney Foley and her staff with a process that is light-handed, non-invasive and sustainable allowing the wines to emulate the personality and character of the vineyards. Named for the four daughters of its founders, the Black family, The Four Graces winery features sustainably farmed vineyards in the Willamette Valley with the goal of producing complex wines that are rich, elegant and delicious.  Today, its owner, Bill Foley and under the guidance of Marc Myer, the winery produces wines that are renowned nationally and internationally for their balance, complexity and richness. Producing handcrafted sparkling wines for any occasion, Treveri Cellars is a family-owned wine house producing some of the finest sparkling wines in the country. Located in Wapato, Washington, guests to the winery have an opportunity to learn what goes on behind the scenes while interacting with winemakers. Located at 1 Bellwether Way in Bellingham, Hotel Bellwether is a luxury Bellingham hotel on the waterfront, located on Bellingham Bay in the vibrant Pacific Northwest. To the east is the spectacular Cascade mountains featuring majestic Mt. Baker, a 10,781-foot snow-capped peak known for its brilliant sunrises and world-record snowfall. To the west are Bellingham Bay marina and the world-famous San Juan Islands. Enjoy the stylish shops, boutiques, salons, coffee shops, restaurants and parks that make up the unique Bellwether community of Bellingham. Premier Wine Tasting Social events at Hotel Bellwether take place monthly. The next event is scheduled for Jan. 17, 2019 featuring more fabulous wines and wineries.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
